News Anchor, CW News At Ten
Anne State has been teamed with Vic Salazar on CW News at Ten. Anne, an experienced reporter and anchor, has been in the San Diego market since 2002.
State, an award-winning reporter, comes to San Diego from St. Louis, Mo., where she served as the weekend morning anchor for the CBS station KMOV. Before that, she spent time in Des Moines, Iowa, and Topeka, Kansas.
After spending most of her adult life in the Midwest, Anne has returned to her roots. She grew up in Southern California and received her bachelor's degree in history at UCSD. She earned her master's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In 1994, Anne backpacked around the world. She has traveled extensively through Asia and hiked in the Jimalayan Mountains.
Most recently, Anne won two Emmy Awards for anchoring and reporting.
